Texas Burlesque Festival

Texas Burlesque Festival was the most amazing burlesque event I have attended in my career. Roz and Lynn really know how to throw a show! Winners for this year's festival were

Most Original: Viva La Muerte (Chicago)

Best Costume: Ruby Joule (Austin)

Best Tease: Ginger Valentine (Dallas) *wearing my costume and pasties!

Best Ensemble: Carousel Cabaret (Austin)

Best Soloist: Angi B Lovely (Dallas) *wearing my costume and pasties!

Congratulations to all of the performers, I have met so many wonderful people and reconnected with some even more wonderful people. The best moment of this weekend was a terrible situation with a dress for La Divina, the zipper catastrophically failed. 4 performers and a stage manager were standing around trying to get the thing to work and it just wasnt going to work. Hottie Mcnaughty stepped up and offered La Divina the dress she was wearing right then to give her to wear onstage. That is comradery and love and I am so proud to be a part of this community!

Nine sets of pasties created by my company, Fastenating Things, were worn onstage throughout the festival! How exciting. Also loving Gia Nova, who spun them with only her pectoral muscles! Badass! How Tura Santana of you!

If you cannot be in New York for Burlesque Bras for a Cause, please follow the link above and make a donation you are comfortable giving. All proceeds will go to Angeleta Hewitt, who is suffering from cancer and as if being down on her luck wasn't enough, a series of events have resulted in Angeleta no longer able to afford her Chemotherapy treatments.
